Typing Assignment

 For this assignment you must complete each of these steps:

1. Click on the link below. It will open in a new tab.

2. Register for your free account.  Be sure to write down your username and password so you can go back later to practice.

3. At the top you will see a tab marked TEST - click on it

4. This will open the typing test. There are 3 pages and you must complete all 3 to get a final score.

5. At the end of each page it will give you your Net Words per Minutes and Gross Words per Minute.

6. Write both of these numbers down for each page.

7. Click on the Submit Assignment button.  

8. Type in your test results in the following format, filling in your scores in each of the blank spaces:

• Page 1 - NWPM _________ GWPM_________
• Page 2 - NWPM_________ GWPM_________
• Page 3 - NWPM_________ GWPM_________
• Average: NWPM_________ GWPM_________

9. Finally, calculate the averages. To do this, add all 3 NWPM numbers together and divide by three. Do the same for your GWPM and put the averages at the bottom of the lists. 

10. Click the "Submit" button.
