Understanding Assignments & Events
Hey, that's a neat feature!
In Canvas there is a unique and really useful relationship between the Calendar, Assignments, and the Syllabus. These three tools work together to keep you and your students organized. When you change, add, or delete due dates in one tool, Canvas automatically updates or syncs the other two for you. In order to fully understand how this relationship works, you will need to understand the difference between Assignments and Events in Canvas.

After exploring the Guides link, return to Canvas and click the "Next" button at the bottom right of the page to move to the next section of the module.
TIP: Your list of Assignments will display at the bottom of the Syllabus in due date order. If you are not using due dates, Canvas will default to displaying the assignments alphabetically. If this is not to your liking, try using an alphanumeric naming convention, like I did for this class, to keep assignments without due dates in the desired order.
