Controlling Module Access
You are in charge!
In addition to organizing your modules, you can set module access dates, item sequencing, and module completion requirements for each module. You can also track a student's progress through a module by using sequencing, completion requirements, and prerequisites.
- Setting a lock date on a module will determine when students may access the content.
- Setting a sequencing requirement will force students to move through each item in the module sequentially.
- Setting a completion requirement will prevent students from moving on to new materials until the prerequisites in the current module have been met.
In this course, only the Getting Started module has a sequencing requirement set because it contains important information for your success in this class, this means you must click on and view every module item in order. The remaining modules in this course only have completion requirements and prerequisites set, meaning you must complete the requirements (To-Do items) in each module before the next module will open to you. Using completion requirements allows students to access content at their own pace and prevents you from having to manually open modules each week.
