How do I capture a screenshot?
Capture a screenshot ... hey, how do I do that?
Using Windows OS
The Alt + Print Screen keys on your keyboard will create a screen capture of what is displayed on your computer screen. The print screen button is usually located to the right of your standard keyboard above the delete and home keys. If you are using a laptop or a keyboard that does not have the ten key pad, your print screen option may be available via one of the function key combinations (for example: Ctrl-F8).
- Click on the screen you want to capture.
- Use Alt + Print Screen to capture your screen.
- Open your word processing program (usually Microsoft Word).
- Use Ctrl+V or go to the Home menu and choose Paste to paste the screen capture into your document file.
- Save the file with your name and the assignment number in the title.

- Use Command+Shift+3 or Command+Shift+4
- Open your word processing program (Microsoft Word or compatible is preferred).
- Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste in order to paste the screen capture into your document file. Alternatively, you may choose to insert the image from your desktop.
