Joining a Zoom Meeting as a Student
Now We Are Zooming...
As a student, you may be asked to join your instructor and/or your classmates in a real-time online meeting using Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Both of these tools allow real-time access to your instructor online.
Zoom
- You do not need a Zoom account to participate in a meeting. Simply follow the link that your instructor sends you to join, or use the Zoom option within the course menu. When the link opens, it will download a small executable file that should go into your downloads folder. Click that file to launch the program and join the meeting.
- Make sure you have the ability to download on the computer you are using
- Once in Zoom, you may be asked to wait until the organizer joins or is prompted for a passcode. If the passcode is required, check the original email invitation; it should be listed there.
