Watching Panopto Videos

Do I need special tools to watch video lectures?

Numerous types of videos are available for education, and your instructors will use just about all of them. So, where to begin? The most common video lectures used on Canvas are Panopto Videos. Your instructor may use the Panopto link in the left course menu, or they might embed the link into a module. In most cases, Panopto is click-and-play, just like YouTube.

As a student, you are responsible for ensuring your equipment meets the minimum requirements to launch the videos. If your hardware is older and does not work, we have provided computer labs for you at both the Yakima and Grandview Campus. (Hint: If you are using the labs to watch videos, bring your headset.)
