  The Canvas Dashboard

After logging in successfully to Canvas, you will land on the Canvas Dashboard. This is where you will organize your classes, access the Canvas Inbox, and view your personal settings. 

Students can change dashboard views by clicking the three-dot icon at the upper right side of the screen. We do not recommend changing the view from Card View to avoid confusion. The danger of keeping your Dashboard in the recent activity view is that you will only see content with due dates. Required reading, pages, or videos that do not have due dates may not appear in the recent activity view, and you could miss course content.
