Spanish CLEP Tests
Currently the Modern Languages Department is offering credit for specific courses through taking a CLEP test.

How to get credit by taking a National Test:
YVCC may award credit for the following national tests. Review the links to determine which route is the best route for you.
- AP - Advanced Placement Tests
- CLEP - College Level Examination Program
- DSST - Dantes Standardized Subject Test
- IB - International Baccalaureate Tests
Steps
Submit a copy of your score(s) to Admissions. Admissions will evaluate your score transcript for course credit.
Order an official copy of your score(s) directly from your testing source to be delivered to YVCC.
Limitations
Test scores for course credit will not be awarded until you have completed one quarter at YVCC.
If you need the credit for a prerequisite for a class, obtain an entry code from the instructor of the course or from Registration.
Fees
There are no fees for you to submit test scores for college credit. There are fees to take the national tests. Please consult the individual test websites for fees.
